What is OpenToonz?
OpenToonz (opentoonz.github.io/e/) is a free application for drawing animated cartoons, specially anime. It's an extremely complex application compared to most free digital art software. One of its unique features is that you don't pick a random color and draw with it. Instead you create a palette with several colors and choose one to draw with, e.g. color for the hair, color for the eyes, color for the skin, etc. Later, you can change the color in the palette to update the color in all animated frames, which makes it well-suited for solid-color and cel-shaded animation.
